Recently I changed the speedometer drive on my 95 S2. In order to do that I had to take drop the wheel of course and remove the brake caliper by removing the caliper bolts. When I put everything back together I noticed a slight tic, tic, tic. After inspecting the brake assembly I see that one of the brake drive pins is just kissing the caliper as it passes by. It wasn't like that before and to the best of my ability to see, the wheel is set absolutely true. Any thoughts? | ||

Loosen your caliper mounting bolts and wiggle the caliper away from the drive pin. The bolts are skinnier than the holes in the caliper, you just need to adjust it. | ||

Ratbuell, Thanks for responding. Is it necessary for me to lift the bike to do this? I'm thinking I should be able to do this with the bike resting on it's side stand. Thanks again. | ||

Sidestand is fine, caliper doesn't carry any weight. | ||

OK, I realized my question was a bit stupid after I wrote it, but thanks for helping me. I have a front jack, but borrowed and (finally) returned the rear jack and did not want to go and borrow it again. |
