I was riding my Buell last night & had to refill with Gas, after refill i went to re set trip & discovered the Odometer re set Knob had fallen into the dash out of its mounting hole. so my Question is what holds it in place?

There's a flat rubber lip/flange that pushes through the dash (through the top), then the button pushes into the the middle of the assy and kind of locks it in, as much as pushed together rubber parts can anyway.

I'll check the parts book when I get home and see if that has got its own pn#.

The whole assembly is listed as a "odometer reset knob kit" pn# 67446-99Y from my 2002 parts book. the little button part isn't sold separately from the dealer I guess.
