The same in both , trans oil and motor oil.

Do what the book says .

Lot's of opinions, all valid. But whatever you do, don't put gear oil in the primary.

"i" use H-D SYN3 20W50 in both engine and transmission which has got me to 111,671.35 miles as of the last ride ...
