Mark, the owner of Cross Roads Performance had a couple of nicely modified Buells in his stable. Although the frames are different between the S1 and X1, your biggest challenge would be the alignment of the fairing and tank, the S1 was angled differently and much more narrow. Beside the fact that it hid the entire motor and acted like a sail in a cross wind, the riding position with clip ons that are below the top tree make it a 30 minute ride before your wrists and forearms hurt.
