Did I miss some wear on the shift drum? I was also thinking it is probably the shift dogs. It works most of the time, so I think I will wait until winter before I open her up. I just look like an idiot sometimes when the X1 starts bucking around. I pulled the tranny, replaced the gear pair (I had other issues I had to address as well because I was running the belt too tight) and put it back together... problem solved. I wouldn't say rebuilding the tranny was easy... but all in all... it wasn't that bad either. It just took some time and thought and patience. If I saw a tuber somewhere with a broken tranny for sale for $1000, I'd come home with it.   Pikeben08 Posted on Thursday, August 02, 2012 - 09:51 am:        Did you guys have any issues with getting stuck in neutral during the shift from first to second? Happens to me all the time and without warning. It really sucks when you are trying to maneuver in traffic and all of sudden you're not accelerating anymore.
