I have a 95 S2 and the fender is rubbing on the belt and tire. New tire was installed at the dealer about 300 miles ago before I bought it. Not sure if the fender is warped or it is misaligned? Anything special or hints on what I need to do when checking or realigning? Thanks | ||

well i would measure the distance between the tire and the swingarm on both sides and that could give you a rough idea of alignment. I have a aftermarket rear hugger for my x1 and it is slightly out of wack and looks like crap. I never trust any dealer work on anything bikes,trucks cars nothing. Has it been like that since you bought it or just happened? | ||

I have the same issue with a recently purchased S2. Did they put a 180 on? If it's like mine you can see that the curve fender is offset to one side, but my bet is that a new 180 tire is what changed. I tried a few things but was under the gun to get to the Ozarks. Since then I "believe" a shim under the caliper side screw might help things. | ||

I have a 180 with a rear hugger and its fine put your bike up on a stand with the fender off then stand back and eye straight down your belt you will see if your tire is miss aligned | ||

Thanks guys. Sounds like a easy fix. The fender is the original carbon fiber one. And the tire is a 170. I'll check it out as soon as I can. | ||

Keep in mind there was a swingarm recall and the inner fender was not replaced but reused so alightment can be an issue... Be sure to check that the inner fender is not wearing into the rear brake line on the rear belt side... It can wear thru.. |
