I also posted this in the quick board but here it is again. Ran into a guy with a beautiful 2000 M2 Cyclone with only 375 miles on it that this fool wants to disassemble to build a "chopper". Here's the specs: 2000 M2 Cyclone 375 miles Yellow Forcewinder or D&D exhaust system He'll take $6000.00 for it before November at which time he plans on destroying it for it's engine and drive line. I have his number so if any one is interested in a virtually new M2 I can give you his number or act as your agent if you'd like. I'd buy the bike myself but I'm just not in position to do so right now. |

6000 is what that bike cost new due to the shock recall fiasco of 2000. Let him cut it up, it;s not worth $4,500. |

Its his bike to do with as he pleases. Its not like the M2 is all that rare and collectible. I mean if it was an RR or an RS & he was planning on killing it, then sure go ahead & rescue the poor thing. |

Total production of 8800 units isn't rare? Maybe by Buell standards it isn't but that's a pretty finite number none the less. Yes, it his do with what he wishes, but I posted this as there's usually someone on this board looking for a bike like this and it's too nice to do this to. As far as value is concerned, $6000 isn't too far out of line for what the bike is. Having helped a friend look for an M2 recently, I can tell you that it is reasonable. If neither of you are interested, fine. But take your bloviating (I know, spelling) elsewhere this time. |

Sorry,Dave, but check the want ads and see what the prices on used Buells are(or any motorcycle right now)Dirt cheap deals are out there for used bikes. So 6000 for an M-2 that was really the low dollar Buell model is way too much.I see S-2's I want to buy all the time for about 4000.00 dollars and they are way more rare and sold for way more money new. |

Dave, As defensive as you seem to be about this it appears like you have some other motivation behind this deal. I merely stated it wasn't worth that much money and you tell me to go away? Have you looked at my profile pic? I think I have a bit of a right to speak about this subject. You have how many Buells? (Message edited by buelliedan on August 08, 2004) |

Excuse me. Forget I mentioned anything. I have no motivation other than I didn't want to see a good bike be scrapped for a chopper, that's all. You don't have to own a garage full of them to know something about them. |
