Does anyone have any experience with either one of these HID kits on an S3? I have a DDM light on my M2 and love it. It is so bright I have seen pedestrians cover their eyes as I approach. If you want a bright light, can't go wrong with a DDM. | ||

I installed the DDM tuning kit last week as well. Very easy install (even though it didn't come with instructions). The only modifications I did was rig up 2 extensions for the ground and power wires so that they would reach the battery. I did the 2 light H4 (6000K) hi-lo kit (I have dual headlights on my X1). Very bright, they work well, the only complaint is that the kit is obviously built for cars and there is a lot of wire tucking to do. | ||

I don't know if the S3 and X1 share the same size headlight bucket but if they do you'll have trouble fitting the DDM Tuning hi/lo HID bulb inside the bucket. The hi/lo type bulb has the "switch" built at the back end of the bulb and it is just a tad too long to allow putting the bucket and lens back together. You should be OK if you just go with the "low beam only" type. There is a good deal of wiring/relay that comes with the kit but it is not that hard to hide them under/near the tank. |
