What did you all do to the bike? I'm still trying to get my 96 S1 tuned right. Just doesn't feel like it has the power it should! I have the hardest time getting my gas cap out? Locks down fine but seems like it is a tad larger than the hole it goes in and I struggle at the pump trying to get it out...very embarrassing!

I tore the entire bike down and rebuilt it and needed a header so got tgat installed today and fired her up. Your cap issue is easy to fix i did it to my old tank the part that is in the tank take it out and file the flat parts a hair wider with a flat metal file thats all it takes! Check this link for my bike!

...or just file those spots on the cap, and you don't have to remove anything from the bike.

Other than the cap, that is.

You shouldn't tighten the nut under the cap all the way.
There's a sweet spot where it can clamp and rotate just right.
