Since it will not let me use the real word!
I have a leak at THE FUEL ON OFF VALVE the o ring is fine but were the screws go in it flushes to the tank but were the o ring is it has space so the o ring is not getting enough compression on it to fully seal?
Anyone have any fix ideas?

Take your the O-ring your are trying to use to ACE HARDWARE and get a thicker one that will compress ...
