My headlight is going off and on when I turn the handlebars to each stop.

When I pushed on the four wires that terminate at the headlight bucket from the frame connector # 38, I can make them flicker on and off.

I believe the problem is inside the headlight bucket, specifically with the ground wire (black).

So, how do I pull the headlight bucket apart to check the ground wire termination?

TIA

Loosen the screw at the bottom about 8-10 turns and pry at the bottom of the lip with a small sharp flat blade screwdriver.

Use care to not scratch, putting back together can be a trick also.

Jramsey, thank you! You're an excellent BadWeb resource.

OK, here is what the problem was.

Ground wire, black wire, was broken inside the insulation right about where the rubber grommet to the headlight bucket resides.

Loose1 was over here today and pointed me in the right direction, so I can only take credit for the repair.

Here is a tip. Buell engineers designed our headlight circuit so that IF your headlight ground fails (thus no light output) you WILL SEE your HIGH BEAM dash LIGHT illuminate. Excellent engineering!!!!!

BadWeb rocks again.
