Does anyone know if you are able to replace the lightbulbs for turn signal/neutral/oil indicators or do you have to replace the entire thing?

there is a plastic strip with wires going into it that houses a row of tiny press in bulbs. release the clips on each side and pull gently.

912's or 921's, or maybe 918's I forget the number designation but they are available at any general automotive store as well.

Have you had to replace any on your Uly yet? I've only had one light (neutral) go out on the tuber to date, about five years ago I think.

None on the Uly, she's been pretty good to me. I got the X1 in pretty bad shape, blown shock, muffler only hanging on by one stud per head ( total, V&H was just hanging) tail light about to fall off, primary leaking out the whazoo, TPS reading in greek, fuel filter pissing out, muffler disintegrated from the inside out, missing left air scoop, intake tube hanging by one bolt, mirror missing, tail wiring in a rats nest....... So I pretty much fixed all of that and loved the adventure of fixing and riding it and she sometimes let me know when I didnt fix it completely right, now all that is left until I am completely satisfied is those darn peanut lights! Thank you all for the help! It has been a great journey thus far.

I have had terrible luck replacing those tiny lights. I finally gave up and just bought a whole new assembly for $65 or so.
I kept the old one and have in the back of my mind to replace them with LEDs.

Yeah, the bulbs can be replaced. Sorry, don't have the auto parts store number. The p/n from my '01 X-1 parts book is 68024-94; no Y suffix, so I'm guessing it is an H-D number. Dave
