So, I bought my first Buell January 21st, 2002. Little did I know it was to be the last year of the M2 line. Here are a few photos from the day I picked it up...

I had been lusting over the M2 since the first day I saw one, and it took three years before I took the plunge. I have many good memories of that bike. I named it Mama.

One of the highlights was a trip from Wisconsin to North Carolina after Homecoming 2003. See photo above. |

From 2002 to 2010 I put 27,000 Miles on that bike... mind you with no riding for 4 months a year due to weather. I bought my 2010 City X in Spring of 2010... and I didn't ride the M2 so much. I felt it was neglected and I decided to sell it...

I didn't really have the energy to put it up on-line with all the hassle and was lucky to sell it to a good friend. He was lucky too, because he got a really good deal on her...

Now, Ed, is a little strange... but he is a good guy. I didn't really know what he had in mind for Mama... or 'Ex Mama'... but she was his bike now... lol

Not too sure about the 'snorkel'... but the tank is pretty cool... it has paper panels that conduct light and they are wired in to the battery under the bike. I bet it really rocks when he lights it up at night!!!
I will try to get the name of the painter/ artist who did the bodywork... I guess he is in South Wisconsin. If you see Ed out there tell him hello! |

it has paper panels that conduct light and they are wired in to the battery under the bike. Those are some cool panels. I saw them at the SEMA show last year and my mind reeled with all the possibilities... Since 'Ex Mama' still resides in Wisconsin, do you think there's any possibility it could show up at Homecoming? 1313 |

Well... I got the link to this thread posted to Ed's FB page and I am hoping he takes the time to make a profile and post here. He may need some poking and prodding but I will give it my best shot. I meant to say that the panels are wired under the tank to the battery on the bike.. DUH!!! I can also tag Erik on Ed's FB photo and then you can contact him there via message if you are friend of Erik Buell on FB. |

I have a profile and the bike is my profile pic Charlotte. The painter is EJ at Cool Hand Customs in Midddleton. On Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1486777056 or http://www.coolhandcustoms.com/ Facebook is more up to date. The Muffler/Snorkel was fabricated here in Belleville. It is Loud but not bad I lost no torque or power. I think all the turns in the pipe help. |

I like the tank. Looks great. A friend of mine made a pipe similar to that but it lays down underneath next to the shock. It sounds loud but it's a very nice tone. (Message edited by jim2 on April 27, 2012) |

Blackjoe..... Here's a link to what your looking for. They are called EL Panels. Most of them will run off of 12V or an inverter. Lots of creative things} to do with these....... http://shop.el-w.com/EL-Panels-and-Tape_c3.htm (Message edited by jkgonzo on April 27, 2012) |

I like the silver/rivet look, and how the EBR wings are mated to the USAF star. |
