Post some more pictures, maybe some close-ups.

I never really liked the plastic on the X1. It makes the bike look like a huge guppie (just kidding X1'ers!)

I didn't think I'd like it, but seeing the pics it looks cool : )
More pics please : ) White with blue frame and wheels would be one of my favourite colour combos...especially with the black motor.

i like it a lot better. would be nice to see some closer pics.

how were the pieces painted? is it a smooth finish or the original crinkle type? professional sprayed or spray can? given any thought to doing the rear hugger and belt and pulley guards? im kicking around the idea of doing similar painting to my M2, but it wouldnt look quite the same sans air scoop and silver motor. thanks for posting pics, that bike looks great.

the pieces were painted using dupont chroma system I had the plastic on the tank scanned and got a paint formula that is fairly close. I haven't decided to do the hugger yet. 01 X101 X1

Hey..., that's definitely a major improvement. Looks great, especially on the left side. The factory should have done that.

I've always liked the painted panels...looks like a total unit...I have my airbox on my M-2 painted also.
the tail section on the X-1's look good painted to match the tank color too. Looks all one piece. rex

Agreed, Major improvement. I think I will use this as a fix until I can cough up the money for the Forcewinder/Carbon to replace the breadbox.
