I know this is probably a long shot, but does anyone have a photo of Black Sapphire Pearl reflecting its hues?

I'm still searching the archives without much luck.

Thank you,
Gary

Pretty tough without Kodachrome, but not to bad.

The now obsolete pearl.

Appreciate that Gowindward. I can see blue? Does the colour flip to blue/purple? The white sets it off nicely.

What will you do if you ever need to repaint?

Nice collection you have.

Regards,
Gary

The Demon Blue from the later S3's is pretty darn reminiscent of the Black Sapphire Pearl of the S2's. One just popped up in the classifieds:
Demon Blue 2000 S3

With the PPG paint code readily available, and less of a chance to mismatch the color between parts, it's probably what I would opt to do if I were in that situation.

My 2 cents,

1313, great 2 cents worth :-). I read in the archives how they laid out the panels in order to spray them so as not to mismatch. Was that in your days at Buell? It must have been a very difficult colour to lay.

The Demon Blue looks very blue rather than black, but the photo has caught full light. Is that where Black Sapphire goes in direct sun?

Thanks for all the information.

In full sun I see some deep purple.

If you are looking for a like color talk with House of Kolor about a like color pearl in their current product line up.

You guys have been of great help.

Also found the S2 thread about the tailsection regarding this colour and 1313's post.
