Hey guys,

so earlier today my clutch cable broke and i about laid it down! first time this has ever happened to me.

anyways i started looking around and there are several places and tons of what seem different kinda, and coating etc.

Wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction maybe an improvement over what i used to have (stock, best price and quality.

Thanks for any recommendations.

Anthony.

I've had no problems with these.

Use the XB cable, slightly longer but teflon inner, should be available from A.S.B

Hey Gus, so the XB's are slightly longer AND will fit M2's. If so how much longer? I would like to go to higher bars maybe.

Not sure exactly how much longer but it has to be routed around the far side of the headstock so higher bars could be a posibility as long as the other cables and wires areŽnt too tight

When my clutch cable broke it was the cable end at the control lever ...

My PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT to prevent this from happening again to my OEM CLUTCH CABLE replacement was to DRILL a SMALL HOLE over the CABLE END on the CONTROL LEVER so the CABLE END can be "LUBRICATED" !!!

To date no more broken cables !!!

proper cable and lever lubrication is very important, I like tri-flow.

I put Blast bars on my M2, and the stock length had to go up the near side of the steering stem, as I recall the original routing was around the far side. I've used the Barnett cable with teflon (or whatever) lining, it is smoother in action. The lube port over the cable end is an old dirt bike thing. Some just switched levers, upside down, so the cable ends are facing up, and lube (30 WT)can be slobbered in easily. The good old days...

Disconnect the cable from the lever and lay it on the ground until primary fluid starts to dribble out. Lubrication problem solved.
