What has any one done regarding shock replacement vs shock rebuilding? I see there is a Penske one for sale but the $1000 price is too much for me.

Works shock is a little cheaper.

Or, you can call RaceTech and have them rebuild it. Check your front forks too and let them do them if you can afford it.

I sent mine in last week to Race Tech. $170 for the rebuild and they are turning it around in under a week. that includes adding the nitrogen recharch valve which means if I need it rebuilt again in 10 years it will cost even less. Considering I only use it one the street, I do not need an $800 new shock at this time.

Thanks for the info. I called around and if I take the spring off this place in MI called "Shock Therapy" said they will do it for around $100 for everything. I also called a place in Jersey and they were the same as the Left coast about $200. Will let you know how it turns out.

I just put a Works on my M2 it is so much better than the stocker I can't believe any tuned stocker could be as good. But it did cost money.

Thanks for the link Ghettobirdpirate, I just ordered one at $250 shipped and it is the newer style with the thicker eyebolt. Just have to change the front bracket to accept the shorter length.
