I have the option to run either, what is the preferred wheel for a classic (stock looking) S2, the Marchesini or slotted PM? Just interested in everyone's thoughts.

Thanks!

One s2 has the pm wheels, the other has the marchesini style.

Th PM wheels were an option. I think it depends on the color of the bike. On the Red and White bikes I prefer the stock Marchesini wheels. On the Black Sapphire Pearl and Yellow bikes I prefer the polished PM wheels. I have not seen enough of the Parkway Blue bikes to have an opinion at this time. My BSP bike has the PMs.

I like the Marchi's. PM's - at least, *clean* PM's - look too much like chrome for my tastes and I love the anti-chrome look of the tubers.

Hands down the Marchesini.

"I think the pm is heavier, right?"

The Marchesini is the lightest.
The Castalloy is next.
The PM's are the heaviest.

PM wheels are nice HARLEY-DAVIDSON
"CHROME" type wheels which are the heaviest of the three wheels ...

For a "classic stock looking S2" . . . you'll want White Marchisini.

But . . . all those options are nice, genuinely true to production and work well.

>>>"AND" they are the lightest !!!

But . . we are talking grams here (you'll recall the piece I did for Battle2Win that detailed the weights) that will never make a bit of perceptible difference on an S2.

Hahahaha . . . well take it all with a grain of salt. I'd wager you know much more about the mechanicals than I do.

I just remember the discussions and taking the wheels and wiggling them at Reg Kittrelle's request.

One can say grams, but the front wheel only was 1 pound 8 ounces difference between Marchesini and PM. The rear PM is 7.5 ounces heavier, and 1/2 inch wider.
