Is he using the ECM for ignition? If so, you really want to wire in the VOES to the TPS input and map the ignition accordingly (you only really need 0 and 255 with the TPS reset done with the VOES unplugged to set the voltage as zero).

Battle2Win did a test of a load of ignition units back in the day with the timing listed for each, that would be a good place to start...

yes, i want use the ecm for timing ignition!
i don't understand... how i must wire?
effectly if i don't have the tps sensor i can't use the timing map because the map is based on TPS/RPM! right?
maybe i need the ECM only for light end oil sensor, but without fuel pump the red light is alway on!

I was looking at this the other night. I know this is a whole kit but it mentions modification of the ECM to accommodate the existing harness. I'd bet that they'd just do the ECM map alone. Also a BADWEB sponsor...

If you're going to throw out the F.I. why keep the ECM?
Just put a compufire or accel ignition on it.

You're working too hard.

I am running a race ECM on my 00 S3T that I put a CV carb on, without the VOES, I haven't had any issues.
