My 2001 m2L after her winter time tear down. Race filter, polished header, restored vance and hines muffler, bar end mirrors carb rebuild with rejet and catch can along with some other things. The paint job is from the previous owner. I do like the white rims.

I love the multiple personality of the paint job. Very Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hide.

to bad you couldn't get the black side to have red rims and the red side to have Black rims...

I love the polished header, it looks like some kind of super exotic metal.

Just 'heated' stainless, I know... Way cool.

What kind of mirrors did you use?

I like the look of the black jugs and heads.

I purchased the mirrors on ebay. They weren't the real cheap ones. I think they were about 60 dollars. I can find the packaging if you want to know the manufacturer.

I HIGHLY recommend CRG folding Lane Splitter bar end mirrors. I had a solid stem mounted mirrors that came with my 06 XB12Ss when I bought it. They lasted about a week when the left one snapped off on the west bound 22 fwy transition to the north 405. I replaced them with the folding lane splitters and they have paid for themselves 5 times over. solomotoparts.com sells the mirrors and the CRG bar ends for probably the best price I have found anywhere. And no, I don't work for nor am I affiliated with them. Just passing on my experience.

I like the fact that the mirror glass is replaceable.

I have had the regular CRG hindsight mirrors for 5 or 6 years with no issues....

I don't expect anyone would have any problems with the regular mirrors unless you are splitting lanes on seriously congested freeways such as So Cal is famous for. All it takes is one bump and it snaps off. All I'm saying is if you are going to be splitting lanes, the folding mirrors will save you money in the long run.
