i have a 1999 x1 with a force winder intake. what pieces do i need to cover the sides of the tank cover? i have seen carbon fiber pieces on ebay but are there "stock" pieces that i could use?

The stock pieces that are supposed to be there are the air cleaner scoop and the air scoop for the engine. Since those are removed the only way to go is aftermarket.

They come in carbon and paintable fiberglass.

Well, the stock pcs are the factory air cleaner. I just bought the carbon pcs to put on in the spring after I repaint it.
You could alway paint the carbon if you didnt like that look.
