Took off the stock air intake plastics to take a look & decide what system aftermarket system I might want to run. Found this breather bracket I've never seen before. Not sure I really like it. Seems like the previous owner slopped on some gasket sealer to make oil tight.

OIL TIGHT!!! I hope that bike has the XB rocker box cover and PCV vent conversion. Or that is going to be a problem. Those holes cannot simply be plugged with a bolt without venting somewhere! I can see the rocker boxes still have the upper middle section installed containing the umbrella valves. I would make it a priority to find out. Also you can eliminate the middle section all together and reduce some gaskets and make it breath better.

You can get all the stuff for about $120 or you can buy the kit from AL @ American Sport Bike but his cost a little more because his is polished which is very very nice!!

You can see the 3rd section of the rocker box is removed on my bike.

EDIT: what is that hose with the heat tape on it going down next to the intake? I just saw it and it could be a breather hose???

Prey, who said it was plugged, its obviously a breather system as you can see the hose exiting the back of it. I wouldn't be worried about it

LOL! Yes Prey, that is a breather bracket, looks alloy. That hose with the tin foil around it attaches to it & ends up on this catch can. It's working as designed, I just don't like how sloppy the whole thing is. Yes, it makes me want to go to the XB heads or get new breather bolts with the sigots pointing down. That EFI looks to need a good cleaning any suggestions to best tackle that? How do you clean the injectors?

Ok i see that now it must be hollow. Looks like the hose is attached at the rear.

In that picture i was installing new injectors since i had 4 new ones laying around. But i was at a track day and i was just about to have my pre-track safety inspection and i was warming up the bike and low and behold the rear injector just started leaking like crazy!!! I was like oh crap no track day for me.......Then i twisted it back and forth hearing the o-ring squeaking and the leak stopped and i went on to race around all day. So i swapped out the injectors and put in that hex bolt on the fuel rail. Way better than the stock screw.

Are those throttle plate screws stock?
I don't remember mine being that big.

When you put the XB covers on you can use a plain old hex button head. No need for upward facing vent bolts. That's what the conversion is all about...

I gotcha yours is a lot cleaner, lol! The went a little overboard on gasket sealer. I don't think you need to use any the copper washers should do the job.

You just need 2 XB rocker box covers, 2 XB pcv valves w\grommets, A "T" connector and some tube if you plan on not using a catch can you'll need enough tube to reach the ground. Just remove the center section with its gasket.I have re-used my top rocker box gasket 3 times now without any leaks.

NOTE: You may have to remove a tiny bit if material from the front cover to clear the front engine mount. You can file a little off or use just a hacksaw blade to remove a tiny bit.
