High-visibility vests compulsory in Europe. This biker is wearing a soon to be compulsory high-visibility vest - all that's need according to the proposed European legislation! The proposed legislation fails to consider what protective clothing must be worn underneath that vest to ensure the safety of all riders.

Silly safety laws

The GOVERNMENT should not be telling you what to wear while riding your motorcycle, ie: full face helmet, gloves, proper jacket/pants,and safety bright color vest as you should be smart enough to do it on you own !!!

Other wise you probably will not be riding long !!!

I agree, it's called "culling the heard". If you want to be stupid and ride without protective gear because you think it looks "cool", make sure you remove yourself from the gene pool.

the problem is, some dumbasses will lose a limb or a couple square feet of skin, and SUE somebody because "nobody told me I needed to wear good clothes".

I agree, there are quite a few folks I'd like to see get "naturally de-selected"...but the legal system continues to get in the way. Required gear laws don't protect the , so much as they protect the rest of us, and our ability to ride on public roads. Too many lawsuits? They'll ban the sport instead of making people wear a vest.

No need to. It is prospering just fine all by itself; doesn't need any help at all. My bet is at the speed its spreading right now, it will take over the world completely by...oh...2032 or so?

France has today seen the largest motorcycle protest ever seen before with almost 100,000 bikers paralysing the whole nation, from north to south and west to east. http://ukfrancebikers.com/2011/06/18/france-completely-paralysed-by-almost-100000-bikers/
