Just wondering about changing the stock seat setup to a single/shorter seat setup on a 00 X1. I have been looking for sometime now and only thing I have found is a super expensive mod out of the EU. Looks nice but a little rich for me. I don't want to change the stock setup other than the seat/looks. Like a S1, where the end of the seat sits about mid rear wheel...sportier, less chunky!! Ideas? The only thing I can think of is buy a second seat and sub assy and modify it myself?? Anyone know of a kit or plan?

i just build a new sub section for mine but it uses a stock 2 up seat. I wanted to do a single as well but didnt. I so have a slightly tweaked stock tail id like to sell cheap that may work for you to cut up and come up with something... thats why i bought it in the first place.

I run a Corbin. Great seat. Much more comfortable than stock.

Not really looking for more comfort. Looking to change the look of the rear of the bike by shorting it up to look a little like a S1. Seems that no one has any info on this?? Been searching this and found nothing? Weird.

I haven't seen a kit per se' but I made a different tail as well. This sounds like more what you are after. This is one of the bikes I got some inspiration from.

Very minimal and not too difficult to make.

That bike isn't complete, no chain, either.

The oil bag is in the same place as your S1 and all tubers.

i really do not know, but i would assume that it just requires a sealed battery and i am pretty sure that yours will be sealed.. i am not sure but i know someone will chime in.
