I wouldn't mind a different exhaust pipe set up...more like a standard set up on a hot-rodded sportster...stacked along the right side of the bike...is it possible to do this with any aftermarket or OEM sportster pipes without too much modification....I think I saw it done in some magazine...Anyone have any experience with this?

Closest thing to that would be the old Bubs pipes. Looked a lot like something you would have on a Sportster. I used to have some on my M2. Every now and then someone has a set for sale here on the classifieds or on Ebay. They used to be for sale new in Drag Specialties Catalog, I don't know if any are left.

I heard that those Bub pipes kinda fell apart. Did yours?

I ran them for 5 years or so, they did fine. I had 1 small rust spot but that was it.

I kind of liked them, but rumors of poor power production eventually got to me.

I don't see how those are so different from what I now have...(I have the race kit installed) I mean a set of pipes with the muffler(s) on the right side as well.

With these, they actually stay separate, You have 1 chrome pipe down the left side, sort of underneath, and one chrome pipe down the right side. Both expand into small megaphones at the end. This is the only option I have ever seen that don't dump into a common muffler underneath. It may not look like a sportster shotgun set-up, but short of a completely custom set, this is as close as you can get (with an off-the shelf pipe)
