That is the factory race muffler. Packed with fiberglass, NOT internal-disc. Requires the race header, will not work with a stock header. |

Is that because it needs the elbow from the can to the header ? Couldn't one just get the elbow and attach a couple of clamps or welds? |

It should work. "The elbow" is built into the Race Header. But one should be able to rig up a substitute, certainly. The trick would be for it not to be shaken to bits, I guess. I like the 'springs' idea on another thread. Maybe just hold a generic bent tubing to both ends (header to can) with springs. Just need to fab up a front mount, and lots of ideas on that in various other threads right now. Sure why not, worth a try, right? |

By "will not work with", I meant it doesn't simply clamp on like it does on the race header. |
