IIRC the gas cap locks will work with any tubular lock, i.e., not specific tumblers. Not sure, but maybe the fork locks are as well? |

Fork locks are keyed to the bike, gas cap will use any barrel style key, I've used a snap-on tool box key to open my gas cap once. |

The early tubers use a fork lock key. My S2 had one of those, till I got sick of fighting it even though I hadn't locked it..and put the cap off a Blast on it with no lock. |

Any round key will open my gas cap lock. Don,t know if was keyed from the factory or not. |

Likely not. Even current HD's with the locking console (FLHT, FLHX, FLTR) have non-coded locks. Wanna freak out a buddy who isn't too savvy? Open his fuel door with your key at every stop. Don't tell him. Let him wonder. Don't remove the cap...just unlock the cover and flip it open. |

Especially since 90% of the folks I sold baggers to - whether they'd owned them before or not - never knew they weren't coded locks. |
