I remember it involved H-D insisting on the change. I don't remember why but they felt it was not acceptable and insisted we use the stupid L-Z-Boy recliner one.

It may not have been the actual first bit of stupid H-D screwing around but it is the first one you can see. In hindsight it was a warning.

Interesting. I wonder who makes kickstand design policies at HD. The Westwind's kickstand is by-far, more secure feeling than the S2.

Just the other night, the S2 almost did a nose-dive while doing headlight adjustments. The street was just slightly downhill and the bike started to roll off the stand!
