How much should I spend on one of these so I can mount my full race exhaust?

Nah, even used ones on eBay are almost always more than that. When I bought mine new, it was just under $100; now I see A S B has them for $125.25. Half price is not a bad thing.

That is a win, congrats on your excellent purchase!

Do you need advice for proper install of you system to get the most out of your new part?

Best to loosen the exhaust a smidge or two before you put that thingy on, you may need to get the voltage reg plate that goes with it, if there are fitment issues when you put it on.

The bike is in pieces right now for a complete "frame off resto". Right now I have a mountain of parts heading the powder coater and the engine work hasn't even begun yet and I bought a full Buell race exhaust that needs some cleaning and repacking. It will be a while before it goes anywhere.

Get the repacking kit from Al as well. I did a write-up some time ago on how to install it.
I can't find it in the KV, but I've attached it for you as a Word Doc.

Any ideas as to where I can find the rear bracketry for the race muffler to fit on my M2? I also need that stupid spacer for the front mount.

The rears are just two straps with holes in them. You could probably find a U-bolt at the hardware store that has the cross-piece about the right size, for a couple bucks each.

The updated Front Exhaust bracket kit should come with the spacer, there isn't one on the old style. I paid about $100 for mine 5 years ago. (Man, has it been that long?!)

I misplaced my spacer for a while and used a short piece of black oil type hose.

I cut it just a hair big so it could compress and still have a snug fit.
