I want to try modifying one like the Don Castro site recommends, as I cringe every time I lower my S2 onto the stand and watch it lean and lean and lean creaking and cracking as it comes to rest. Tiny problem could have major consequences with side stand rigidly attached to case.   Rex Posted on Thursday, October 27, 2011 - 12:46 pm:        I put the aftermarket side plates on my S2, and then an M2 sidestand. It stand normal now. Now for the other S2 in the garage. Might have been....what...'06? Same deal, but I run an S1 kickstand (which, actually, is the same other than color - S1 is gray, M2 is black). Now my converted, non-L M2L with it's L sidestand...leans like an original S2!
