I put Thunderstorm top end bits on my S2...what...in '06? '07? Somewhere in there. Heads (stock t-storm), pistons (stock t-storm), X1 cams, S1W ignition box, rejet, very happy camper. I have since put in billet pushrod bases and XB rockerboxes; might as well do them while you have it apart.

Still need to figure out the hiccup it developed earlier this season..but since I've ridden all season about as much as I used to ride in a month... : (

Joe:yes if I Will XB Rocker-Covers.Billet push-rod bases?????What are they? And will use old Heavy Fly-Wheel crank as you have with no problems. Also Banke Brace,Mikuni,Wish-Bone.And was also curious about your S2 latest running issue.Billet push-rod Base(one piece machined push-rod)I think.

No, I'm talking about the pushrod BASES. I still use the factory tubes. Factory bases are a pair of one-bolt circles that hold the bottoms of the pushrod tubes in place. The billet bases are a single piece for each cylinder (2 pushrods) and seal much better.

And I used two FRONT rockerboxes when I put on the XB covers. The rear one put the PCV valve at the "wrong" end of the cover and it hit the tank. Using a front box on the rear head moved the valve to the rear (bottom) of the head, and it clears the tank fine that way.
