Black '98 S1/w total rebuild frame up. Engine is Buell '98 cases with new HD X1 heads, new 74" cylinders, new Sportster Screaming Eagle 10:1 pistons, Andrews N9 cams (notched top rockers),Mikuni (Buell) carb with Forcewinder, V & H pipe, Andrews HO coil, NEW (correct) Buell oil pump. Chassis upgrades to X1 alloy swing arm with correct inner fender and X1 front forks, large fuel tank, etc. Good looking bike and real nice canyon runner. That being said, have had lots of problems with oil leaks. All work done be GOOD shops (Bartels LA and private shop that has record Buell runs at the Salt Flats). Currently about 2000 miles on total rebuild. Thought finally had everything ironed out. Wrong! Changing oil this weekend, started bike and blew the oil cap and quart of oil straight up like a new oil well or the Exxon Valdez oil spill in my garage. Breather lines off cylinders are clear and pump out air. Only new(er) thing is an oil collection can added. But when bypassed still appears to be toooo much pressure coming back through oil tank.
ANYONE have any ideas on this??????}}

Were you running the bike with the seat off to warm the oil for the oil change? How long? It's pretty common for that to happen. Make sure you don't overfill the tank.

Thank you. Ran bike after oil change (2 quarts added to empty tank) with seat off.
