If you are running additional accessories you'd see some trouble at low speeds and idle. You running heated grips? I leave at 515 in the morning durring december through feb it sometimes is down to the teens in the morning. Have you checked your output levels, maybe a voltage reg on the way out? In searching for those threads last night I found a number of interesting threads on trouble shooting stators and such. My search was using the search tool on bad web. Key word "stator", with search function for whole words, under subject lines, going back 1500 days.
