I dropped the white S2 (number 35). I need the brake lever part number (HD not Buell Part number). I could not remember but something tells me they changed in 96? I think I need a 19?? to 1995 HD lever. Is that correct and does anyone have a part number for the brake and clutch lever?

Parts manual lists same lever for both years. 45016-93 is brake lever. 45017-93 is clutch.

Frank,

The H-D's changed in 1996 to the rounded master cylinder and I believe the levers changed then as well too. The Buell's did not change in 1996, so 1995 and 1996 S2 are the same. The numbers Bkerchuck provided look like H-D #'s to me "5 digit number - 2 number model year designation" to me. If they had a Y after the 2 number model year designation then they would be Buell #'s. But you knew that.

When you coming this way next?

1995 Brake Lever - 45016-93

1995 Clutch Lever = 45017-93

Any problems . . . let me know. Also let me know if you need a scan of the parts or a parts manual.

Ah, that is the part of the mystery... In 96 HD changed... I knew Buell did not change until 97 ad went totally different with the bar size.

I was looking at aftermarket ones and they say 96 to 04 or something like that so I would need 95 and down if buying HD..... Thanks.

Frank..
1982-95 HD ones were used or you can get the 96+ spoon style in the 82-95 fitment..
They are much more round and more hand friendly plus have a reduced reach..
i have quite a few 82-95 used sguare style if ya need a set..

Hank, thanks for the info. I will order a few in the future I just have not got around to it. I have been very busy with current events... I still need to fix the carb on number 35 (the one I dropped) fortunately they crash well (save turn signals, levers and mirrors)

I also cracked the fairing up pretty good but I have been thinking about a different color anyway. I have been riding it as is because it does not bother me, it is so grimy it is hard to tell and as long as it is running good I am happy with it.

What color do you need? I have a brand new one in the box if you need it. Sitting there with all those cases of S2 prototype stuff. If you need it, drop me a note and I'll let'em know you're coming.

: )

Better yet . . . pick everything up while you are there.

What about chrome levers. Used to just get them off the pegboard displays at the dealers. I just checked with 2 dealers and not a clue........(both used to be Buell dealers too).

I realize this is an old thread but I could use some assistance. Can anyone verify if these are the correct levers for a 96 S2T: Kuryakyn 1021 Plain Trigger Lever Set; Kuryakyn lists them as 82 - 95 Sportster. My confusion has to do with the discussion concerning master cylinders. Thanks
