Sounds awesome...
Do all the S1s hold the RPM up like that? My X1 seems to drop more quickly. It must be the lighter flywheel or something. Sorry about the digression.

Grips If the same as my atv yes get the glue to put them on and you will need grips for 7/8 inch bars most dirt bike grips should fit. And header wrap works good mine has been on 5-6 months looks like new. I got mine from advanced auto I think it took 2 50 foot rolls. Held it on with stainless hose clamps. Also you will want to take the header off it's way easier. Oh and yes I have the sliders

well my timing cover is loose and getting wedged inbetween the headers and the part where it goes on lol so i figured since i have to put back on the timing cover (in order to do that i have to take off the headers) might aswell wrap them while there off so you dont just see rusty exhaust lol someone also said to use the heat paint or w/e wonder which will stay better , im going to want the black wrap if i do get them, they dont have those at my auto parts : (

I would not worry about the high heat paint will not look right or last. Wrap is the way to go also keeps the heat off your legs a little bit. Done right it will last. I went with the army green color wrap looks good

i wouldnt waste the money on headerwrap if you still want an exhaust, yours has been welded and it will be far easier to find an unmolested header if thats the route you want to go.

I would use headerwrap after you have your exhaust system set up the way that you want with a muffler. They make header wrap paint to touch it up and keep it looking nice. The black fades to a white over a year or so.

its a hand built custom exhaust, so yea 900 sounds about right. If you want cheap keep checking ebay. I spent about 650 new for my full stainless kooks full system.

That will fit, its not stainless so you will have to keep painting it or have it ceramic coated.

I would get it and ceramic coat it if you want color use header wrap over it. You could always get this one and then keep looking for a race exhaust they do come up for sale now and then.

bah cant look at the auction no more, but it says for 96-97 s1.. stock muffler. so im guessin it fits mine aswell. ill ask him and tell ya tomorrow when he replies. on to another question will this fit ? i want to put one on since im going to be putting on the muffler and having to re do my carb to fit the muffler might aswell put on this forcewinder and do it all at once. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FORCEWINDER-XR-AIR- INTAKE-SYSTEM-AIR-CLEANER-HARLEY-/120766427578?pt= Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1e3d71ba
