Does anyone know if this shock will work for my application 96 s1 with 2000 m2 swingarm. It should work, but I have always been leary of that shock, just because know one knows what it actually is. What if you need to rebuild it later? It looks like a quality shock though. | ||

If the price is right it is worth the risk with the stallings and such someone somewhere has to know what it is | ||

I wouldn't buy it. It needs the reservoir attached and charged/filled with oil, who knows what brand it is..no one seems to. | ||

Swingarm doesn't matter. It's the bracket that's on your bike that does. We'd need a pic of what you have to tell you what you have, or you could measure the eye to eye length and that'll answer your question.  | ||

Ok thanks I do not have the swingarm mounted yet so I will have to wait till I do | ||

If your shock mount is the LH one in the pic, you need the 16.5" shock. RH mount is for the 14.7" shock http://www.badweatherbikers.com/cgibin/discus/show .cgi?tpc=3842&post=786296#POST786296 Mike | ||

Ok so I will need the 16.5 inch. I was told that my original shock (chrome enclosed kind) would not work for this swingarm shock anyone know why | ||

You were misinformed... But, did you also get the mounting block for that swingarm? IIRC, the steel swingarm mounting block doesn't fit the aluminum swingarm... | ||

Yes I got all of it and the axle even the old isolators I will put new on thanks for all your help |
