My bike had been running horribly (more specifically, barely running). Just got my ECMSpy cable and software, and did a TPS reset. It immediately changed the bike. Before, it wouldn't idle on cold start... now it does. Before, it would barely come off idle when warm, now it revs pretty freely. It still stumbles at certain rpm's when under load, but my main question is: why won't it run when I back the afv down? From what I understand, it should be set between 90-110. Mine was at 150 so I tried to set it at 100. Wouldn't stay running. 110, wouldn't stay running. 120, same thing... 130 and 140, same thing. Ideas?

my guesses
1.intake air leak, efi is adding fuel to correct the mixture, lucky for you its the rear cylinder, had it been only the front
major damage may have been done.

2.fuel pump pressure
low pressure would need additional open time to get fuel in the motor

3. with 2 blocked up filter

4. with 2 blocked up or stuck fuel vent valve on fuel tank

check nipple on bottom of throttle body..

That afv is way to high very lean conditions

there is only one o2 sensor in the system
its on the rear cylinder

If you had an excessive lean condition on only the front cylinder you might have been doing serious repairs,

Oh yeah I would check those plugs

Given your description, one other thing I suggest is add some fuel to the cells in the area on the fuel map inside the red borders-usually between 20-40 (8-bit) TP and 2500-5000 RPM. Add at increments of 5 and see what happens. Needless to say, save copies of the maps as you experiment.

These X1s when properly tuned pull like a freight train from 2000 to 6500 RPM...
