I know it's been discussed to death (even recently)....but help me out here: Bike is a '99 X1. It needs intake seals and some new exhaust gaskets. Exhaust is a Force system. What are the best ones to get of each, and why? I think I have heard the general sentiment that James Gaskets are easiest to instal for intake, and Screamin' Eagle for exhaust. What say you? |

I go with SE exhaust due to cheap price. I've not yet, thought will be in a week, replaced intake gaskets. Likely go HD for them as well |

Thanks, I buy as much as I can from the likes of fantastic sponsors such as American Sport Bike, Drummer and Bumpus. they, in return, provide me with the best customer service I have EVER seen! However, there must be more opinions as to which gaskets to use?? |

Go with the screaming eagle exhaust gaskets, regular intake gaskets work fine |

I actually prefer the regular HD exhaust gasket which has a bit of a taper to it while the SE is flat. Obviously from above, others experience has differed. They are pretty cheap, get them both and decide for yourself. |

Are there different sizes? I assume SE doesn't make them specifically for Buell, what do I order them for? And I agree on getting multiple sets. |

Thanks for all the input. Ordered stock intake gaskets and both stock and SE exhaust gaskets from Al. Al said he doesn't have much experience with the Force pipe, so I sent him a pic of the ends and he said that type usually works best with the flat (SE) type. |

What, you want me to install new tires on my intake? Or do you mean Sil Glyde? I assume this is what I want? Any issue with just slathering everything up with it? |
