Author Message   Hogluvr Posted on Monday, August 01, 2011 - 08:38 pm:        I need to replace the gaskets on my leaking rocker boxes, is there an easy way to find TDC? I did this on my ex's Blast and remember it was a pain in the a$$ to see if the valves were both closed through the spark plug hole. There has to be an easier way...   Outdoors Posted on Monday, August 01, 2011 - 09:26 pm:        I just took the covers off and with it in 5th gear, rotated the rear tire until both rockers were raised (hence valves closed) on the head I was working on. The job went pretty smooth and no more leaks.   Desertguy Posted on Monday, August 01, 2011 - 09:34 pm:        Ditto Outdoors. I knew there had to be an easier way!   Ratbuell Posted on Tuesday, August 02, 2011 - 09:49 pm:        um...pull the timing plug out of the base of the V on the right hand side of the motor, and look for the mark. Big honkin' allen bolt. Can't miss it. Right there in the middle, by the base gaskets.
