While I am waiting on the new parts to arrive i decided to paint the torque arm, or what ever its called.

Masked off the "=Buell=", few coats of flat engine black, then pulled the tape off and blacked out the letters. Cant wait to get the shiny sprocket nut cover on there to get rid of that ugly brown rusty one.

Here it is now with the painted part.

My Red Snap S2 came without the cover and many things wrong, but I got them fixed and replaced the front sprocket. I sprayed a few light coats of clear over the front of the sprocket and 4 years later, it still looks new. On my blue S2, the sprocket has no clear and quite a bit of rust. Not a big deal, just looks unsightly. If you do not cover it, cleaning it up and shooting some rattle can clear will do wonders for the appearance.

I have a stock S2 "torque arm" (or whatever it's called, as Sgt said) with the stock plastic/fiberglass/unknown lightweight material sprocket cover still attached.

It's from all that S2 stuff I got from that stripped bike a while back.

If anyone can use it, just pay shipping and it's yours.

I had a Billet brace and no cover on mine for several thousand miles and never got anything stuck in it. I love the look and it was accented by the lack of hugger, lower belt guard, or retaining ring on the rear sprocket (XB rear wheel and sprocket which has no outer retainer), so it was very simplistic and awesome.

Hey Brad: Got your PM - I'll get it in the mail in a few days. I'll see how small of a Priority Mail box it'll fit into, to keep the shipping cost minimal.
