Hi All, I have a 95 S2 and would like to determine if the front Pitbull stand will work for me or not. I have read through some threads and seen that some S2s will work and some do not. I checked my lower triple tree and there is a small opening in the bottom. I did not measure the diameter but I would guess ~.25-.5"

Does anyone have a picture of the lower triple tree setup that is compatible? Thank you very much!

Depends on your VIN. If it is an early build then no, it will not work. I would guess around 310 and below the stand will not work unless you changed the lower triple tree.

I should say fork stem not the whole triple tree.

I've been looking trying to find the pictures that I have of the S2 on my Pitbull stands, but no luck so far.

I use the front and rear Pit Bull stands for both the S2 and the XB.

The rears are adjustable for width. The front has different pin sizes that fit up into the hole in the bottom of the triple tree. It literally only takes me a minute to switch the stands between bikes.

I like them a lot!

Now to just find some pictures... Or, retake them...

Chances are they will fit Jlpearl's bike fine.

HOWEVER, If you get a chance look at a very early build S2s bottom fork stem where you would slide the insert into. Nothing is fitting in the first couple of hundred made. An easy way to tell is by the billet triple trees. (at least number 35 and 304 are that way).

I love them for the other S2s I have... I thought about changing the fork stem just for that reason.

Great product and great support.

Thanks for the feedback! I will take a look at the fork stem again. The whole in the stem seemed rather small, but I'm not familiar with the typical pin sizes anyways. I'll post up a pic of my stem if I'm still not confident.

If you cannot get the pics to post just email them to me at f_skinner at yahoo dot com. Also, take a picture of your triple tree assembly...

For my bikes that I cannot use the front stand on I use a ladder and straps to support the bike. In fact I find that this gives me a little flexibility when changing rear isolators. It just makes it easier.

This is the bottom view of my fork stem. The hole is .25". Think this will work?

Looks too small to me.

Hmmm, that's disappointing. Anyone else second that? I'll hold off on buying a stand then. Thank F_skinner!

+1 on what Frank said.

My S2 has the billet trees also, and I would not trust a pin type stand with that small of a pin.

I made an adapter for my home made pin stand that fits under the lower tree and grabs it from the back. It's not the prettiest thing but it lifts and holds the front end up. You might have to do the same to lift the front and be able to remove the forks.
And if you have the same luck with fork seals I do you will need it!!
