Does anyone know why my engine ticks or sounds like marbles are bouncing around when I am hard on the throttle but light on the clutch? When I pull in on the clutch a little, it usually goes away.

LaFayette: As always, thank you very much. I appreciate the call. I was out to dinner with the family. Will you be around on Saturday or Sunday to answer a couple of questions?

Sdecp, I also would check timing, does not sound all that bad but typically timing, bad fuel, fuel delivery or issues like that... should not be too bad an issue.... check also however your tension on the primary chain per spec.

You talking about your S1 or X1?

Sounds like a lean condition to me.

My X1 has always pinged off the line.
Hasn't killed it yet!
Make sure you run premium gas.
Sometimes, you can get a bad tank of gas too.
