Does anyone (besides Harley) make a gasket kit to fix the problem? I think their stuff is overpriced, and most of it is made in China anymore anyways. Does anyone know if someone like Cometic or James makes a kit and, if so, do you have a part number?

Why not do the XB rocker box conversion while you are there. You can get the parts from the dealer and piece it together for about $117.00
This way you eliminate the the umbrella valves and a set of gaskets that are no longer needed.

HARLEY-DAVIDSON gaskets are good now(do not use any gasket sealer) ...

SPORTSTER gaskets are the same as BUELL Tube Frame gaskets ...

The most important thing about replacing the gaskets is evenly removing(1/4 turn at a time until loose) so the covers do not get warped ...

"AND" properly "TORQUE'ing" on installation ...
