Also does anyone have pics of pm wheels compared to cast so I can see what I have   Hellraged Posted on Sunday, July 10, 2011 - 02:56 pm:        ok i just did this on my 98 s1 .. you have to measure from the middle of the rear axle nut to the turn signal bracket without no load and off the side stand. you then have to sit on the bike with out the sidestand being down and have someone measure that measurement the same way. Subtract the first from the 2nd and if your within 1/2-3/4 inch your good, if not needs to be adjusted. ... if it needs to be adjusted you gotta turn the 2 bolt that is connected to a plate that inturns compress's that spring under your bike. Cast are round-spoke three spokes, either powdercoated in color or rough-cast aluminum. The shock adjustment depends on which shock you have. Can you see the spring on it? If you can, the description above is correct. If you can NOT see the spring (it's encased in a stainless steel canister), you need a big honkin' wrench. At the rear of the canister is a locknut, and a nut. Unlock the locknut (closest to the rear wheel) and spin it out of the way. Tighten the other one, compressing the spring, to reduce sag and make the spring firmer. Loosen it to give more sag/softness.
