Hi Everyone,
Could you tell me if this shock is rebuildable? Has no compression or rebound damping. It is on my new (to me) 1996 S2T.
Thanks for your help!
Adam

Hey Bama,

I believe that it is re-buidable. I have a local shop that is doing my White Power shock for the S2, but he hasn't done my Showa yet (which, I'm no expert, but I believe that's what you have there).

I have heard others say that Traxion Dynamic's does them. You might want to give them a call.

I'm sure that will be others post up with more knowledge. At least that will give you an option to start with.

What he has is the first recall shock.Traxxion would not touch mine.Max (the owner) told me it is a POS and suggested that I get the second recall shock as it was a good piece.
I don't know if they will rebuild shocks or not but they are good people and will help you if they can.

Thanks Buellish.
Any idea how to get my hands on the 2nd recall shock? If it's a recall, does that mean HD would have it? I will also check out Traxxion website.
Thanks in advance,
Adam

Adam,HD does still have the 2nd recall shocks. What you would have to do is go to the service department show them your VIN number and hope they will still honor the recall. When I got mine on my Parkway Blue S2T,I had to pay a $100 fee since it was past a certain time period or past a mileage limit. But it's a good shock and something like $500 retail so I was good with that.
Your other alternative is ebay.
