Lol........I have ridden in that type of hail and pouring rain until my knees were bleeding and i had to stop because of the pain. I will not ride my X1 or my Ninja in the rain. Now the Klr is a different story i ride that thing all over. For heavy rain i have an Icon brand rain suit that absolutely rocks in the rain. I just love that rain suit.

I had to ride my bike home 40 miles at night in the rain when I bought it. Unfamiliar bike... rain.. night... sketched. That was the last time I did the speed limit on it. : )

I just re-waterproofed my Aerostich suit and my boots. I carry Rain-X for my face shield and have Cycle Gear waterproof gloves.

I ride in the rain because it rains a lot here and I don't want to park the bike.

Funny thing is that I actually enjoy it when I can see where I am going and stay dry.

Riding in the rain is kind of neat when you have good gear that keeps you dry - hail? I haven't done that yet.

I have ridden in Rain, hail and SNOW! I wear leather all the time, pants jacket, boots. If it is regular rain it is not to bad. In the really heavy stuff i'll wear a rain suite. As XL1220r said, it is not to bad if you are warm and dry. KEEP your face shield closed at all times, unless you stop. The second you open it while driving water seeps inside and blocks your view. I actually had a CHP stop me and make be get my bike towed into Bernie CA. because it was snowing so hard! Probably good advice. Oh and heated gear works wonders.......even if you are wet you are still warm.

Riding in hail without a visor on your helmet is fun!

Not

Since I ATGATT, the only time rain is a bother is if I'm out in my Joe Rocket mesh.

Or...like riding to Daytona in March...when it rains so much (South Carolina to Daytona) that every single gap makes itself known. Worst was the left boot that filled with water because of a piece of popped velcro on my overboot.

But...I don't really mind riding in rain. That's what cleans my Uly, and the way I look at it is....I got wet in the shower that morning, so it's nothing new. I'll dry out eventually : )

Hail and sleet, though...definitely suck. But that's what overpasses are for.

I do not mind so much being cold or wet. I hate being both. Get caught in the rain at 6K or more feet above sea level and it sucks. And, as a comerative to the the first S2 Gathering perhaps, I rode over Hoosier Pass yesterday. It was dry and warm. A little better than the last time.

Frank speaks truth.

Cold is OK.

Wet is OK.

Cold AND wet...sucks. But with Gerbings...cold rarely happens for me : )
