Ok, so I have 2001 Lightning, about 8 months ago the transmisson went out. I had been spending a ton of money on it and didnt fix it right away. So last week I decide to get it fixed and sell or trade it. So I go pick it up today, and WOW, I cant believe I EVER thought about selling my baby. I had forgotten how much I LOVED this bike. Buell's are fickle creatures, you lovem or you hatem, and I LOVE MINE. She is like my wife, we dont get along all the time, but when its good, its GREAT!!!!!! Just wanted to share..... | ||

i get the same feeling when my bike breaks and i dont ride it for awhile.. i either wanna sell it or trade it.. then i get back on it and im like hell no wtf was i thinking? lol i think we are just humans :P my excuse is i just wanna ride but im glad i havent had a good trade over yet so :P | ||

im too nice of a guy but i do get to a point where i become the biggest ••••••• you ever known , im almost to that point lol like today this douche stood by the stop sign exiting my neighborhood and waited for me to come by this morning , wtf am i suppose to tell him when i pull up, in my head im like "you got to be shitting me?" | ||

yeah that does put you in a jam there.. i have been jerked around in the past so now i just tell people to f themselves when they try to use me.for there own gain.. i am a nice guy until you piss me off.. | ||

well i think this week if they ask for rides im just going to tell them to pony up $20 because if i have to pay 40-50 dollars a week in gas why should they drive for free even if its the same way im going.. or just tell them to f-off somewhere lol im almost to that point ... just gotta get my bike fixed and all this will go away lol, sent payment for the front pulley needed today prob. get it mid next week, going to get the nut that goes on the shaft tomorrow and already have a new lock plate. now i just gotta play mechanic and do it right lol | ||

it is not that hard and yes make sure your belt is loose... look through the threads and they will give you a good advice on tension | ||

GPzs??? I have an 82 and the 83L,bought the latter new in 83 and have 112K on it. My l01 X1 is still up on the lift getting new heads, pistons etc The 82 and my BMW 1150R are getting all the miles. Can't wait to get the Buell back on line. It's 3 weeks short of a year now. | ||
