I have seen some really slick custom jobs where they welded aluminum plate to the underside of the tail. Not as easy as just bolting up another plastic tray though. | ||

How did it get cracked?? That is not an easy thing to crack. Unless your riding 2 up and the tire came up and cracked it going over bumps. you could replace it with an aluminum plate. But if you remove it you will have to fab it yourself and you will lose a lot of storage if you eliminate the trunk. It looks cleaner with the trunk gone but all your storage will be gone and that is the downside. | ||

vey very little just enough for my little tool set for when it shakes apart, and that about it. | ||

oh yeah they fit fine plenty of room for that..i just put togethor a small assortment of tool and loctite because the bike seems to shake apart a little. | ||

The trunk was pretty big. I could fit a mini ratchet\socket set and a California dash duster and other goodies that would also fit in there. I didn't like loosing the space but i didn't like the trunks appearance. I used nuts and bolts because i wanted to be able to take it apart if i needed to or i would have used pop rivets. | ||

thats what mine is idk about bottle rockets ,but i can put my carry weapon in there .. its just a little walther pk 380 but she fits with a couple random tools and paperwork for bike. | ||
