Looking for some tool sizes for a 2001 S3. I need the socket sizes for the; front axle nut, rear axle nut, front brake caliper mounting bolts (2, allen head), front axle pinch bolts (4, allen head). Or if it's listed somewhere else maybe someone could point me in that direction.
thanx,
g u s

the allen Head bolts are all English..or at least they were on my 02 x-1, when i took the front wheel off to swap out the tires.. a standard allen head wrench set (the ones that are all bolted together) worked fine both on the pinch bolts, and the caliper bolts.. just need to use a boxed end wrench to get more leverage to turn them w/o stripping out the allen head hole.

I believe the rear axle nut is 36mm,but I have a big mofo crescent wrench that works fine.

Thanx,
I found an 36mm socket for the rear, but I didn't have an adapter for the torque wrench so I just tightened it down. My allen heads seem to be a different size 'cause they were somewhat loose. I've since bought a metric set but havn't had a chance to check them yet.
