Getting the 2 ready for the Christmas event and I can't find the side stand plate that keeps the bike from leaning over so far. American Sports bike no longer has them on their web site.

Any Ideas...??

Ride safe........Jack

I did the bend on the kickstand and it turned out fine. Looks a bit different than the Aaron bend but works fine. I used an oxy-acetlyene torch to heat the metal and then repainted after.

If I can't find a plate I will probably bend the stand too. I have been "gunna" do it for years and never seem to get around to it.

The side plates may still be available from Gilbert's Harley Davidson in Port Huron MI.

Jim Gilbert was a Buell and S2 enthusiast that
hated the way the S2 leaned over too far.He had side plates made up that corrected the lean by changing the angle of the side stand and using an M2 or X1 side stand.
I have a set that I've moved from bike to bike.(you'll get my Gilbert side plates when you pry them from my cold dead hands)

It's my fault.

I got Al's last set, four or five years ago.

I'd say "sorry"...but I'm not ; )

didn't try..........figured they were maybe closed on Mondays. I did take the bike to Bankes to get S3 bags installed. If I can't get the side plates in the few days, I am going to have him do the "bend"
